Description

Original handmade surreal collage

Suicide Head explores the psychological landscape of suffering, repression and the violence that can inhabit the human mind.

At the centre of the composition, a woman’s identity is progressively erased. Strips of paper conceal her eyes and mouth, denying her both vision and voice, while delicate paper tears reveal an anguish that refuses to remain invisible.

Her head is split open, exposing a disturbing figure emerging from within: a man wielding an axe. The image transforms the mind into a space of confrontation, where violence is no longer confined to the external world but becomes an unsettling presence within the individual’s own thoughts.

Fragments of written language are scattered throughout the composition. References to hatred, fear, trembling, silence and disappearance form a broken narrative, suggesting experiences that cannot be fully articulated. The words appear almost as fragments of memory, disconnected yet bound together by an underlying sense of distress.

Behind these elements, X-ray images of rats and passages of printed text create an atmosphere of unease, reinforcing the tension between what is visible and what remains concealed.

Every image has been individually selected, hand-cut and assembled into an original, one-of-a-kind surreal artwork.
