Description
Original handmade surreal collage
In My Head explores the relationship between identity, fear and the overwhelming complexity of the inner world.
At the centre of the composition stands a faceless human figure, stripped of the features through which identity is usually recognised. Behind it, an immense urban landscape rises almost oppressively, transforming the city into a presence that threatens to engulf the individual.
Within the empty space of the face, a young figure leaps from a diving platform into the unknown. Beneath the head, flowing lines evoke a river from which desperate hands emerge, reaching outward as though pleading for help.
Throughout the composition, monstrous figures appear alongside characters expressing terror, helplessness and distress. Some raise their arms in surrender, others scream, while a small rabbit covers its eyes, unable to confront what surrounds it.
Rather than depicting fear as a single emotion, In My Head gives it an entire visual landscape. The external world and the internal one become inseparable, revealing a psychological space in which identity is obscured, danger seems omnipresent and even the smallest figures struggle to find safety.
Every image has been individually selected, hand-cut and assembled into an original, one-of-a-kind surreal artwork.
